False Advertisement

We went in to buy a car and they had it listed at $18,500 on craigslist. We went in and offered them 16,000 which we knew was low balling. The sales rep agreed if we would pay the taxes and fees which we agreed. He came back and said his boss would not allow that, so we came back at 18,500 out the door. He took it to his boss and they told us that the lowest they could go would be $18,995 plus taxes and fees. Seriously? How are you going to make me pay higher than the price quoted on the internet. Needless to say, we walked out. The next morning I emailed the sales representative FROM the craigslist ad which showed the price (which turns out to be false advertisement) and he explained that they could not do that price because the price was now $19,950. When you get on their website the price is $20,500. I do not understand what their deal is with their sales tactics, but they are shady as they can be. I will NEVER go back there. I could be in LOVE with the truck they have and go pay $3,000 more at another lot because of their shady sales tactics. What a dirty company!
